Art inspired installations might have significant aesthetic value and can benefit communities by improving the visual landscape and encouraging the adoption of safe, renewable energy technology. Because solar energy capture and conversion technologies are still relatively new, they have not yet been deployed in sufficient quantity to achieve economies of scale and production cost reductions that would result from it. Combining the benefits of attractive design with non-polluting, sustainable, renewable energy generation could accelerate the adoption of these technologies.
